Did the goalie’s seeing eye dog get hurt?

  • hikerdude48:

That would be about 3 in 842,669. Let’s see… Rocket Richard, Red Berenson, Darryl Sittler. All the other guys didn’t do it, not even Bobby Hull. Well, Wayner did it I reckon. This off the top of my head. Now you’ve got me wondering.

  • QSD:

  • sgoldperson:

A single player doing it? Not really excellent. Not even done once a season.

  • needingajob:

It is very rare and the chances are very slim but it does happen. In fact in one game Mario Lemieux scored 5 goals in all the ways possible

    Powerplay
    Even Strength
    Shorthanded
    Penalty Shot
    Unfilled Net

He and Gretzky had a few 6 goal nights really in their careers. It is rare and not something you should ever expect.

  • Greg F:

Maybe if the NHL goes back to normal size goalee equipment, not the humungous glove, and all the rest they where now.

  • silver_princess16_03:

very excellent if the opposing goalie is horrible but seeing its the NHL (the pros at this stuff) i don’t reckon the goalies suck that terrible.
    so taking that into consideration
    uuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm………………………..
    very slim

  • Cashese:

With the amount of power play time it is very possible. Mario did it at the garden and I judge Granato score 5 once…

  • casinodog:

    HAS HAPPENED

  • Rockford:

Isn’t Safeway cheap with their stupid contest!

  • thekid_6900:

the last guy to do it was petr bondra with the washington capitals/ hat tricks are hard to come by now

  • Hawkeye:

It’s happened previous to. Sergei Federov scored all five of Detroit’s goals against the Capitals (including the game winner in overtime).
