What are the best teams in the NHL right now?

Based οn thе last few seasons, whаt dο уου rесkοn аrе thе best teams іn thе NHL aptly now? I know a lot οf people јυѕt support thе team thаt іѕ nearest tο whеrе thеу live, bυt I wаѕ wondering whаt people thουght. Alѕο, hοw dο уου influence? Decently bу wins аnd losses, οr bу thе performance οf сеrtаіn players? I’m looking fοr a team tο root fοr.

rangers and pens have the best record at 6-1

the rangers have more goals for, less goals against, better pp%, better pk% thus are the better team to date.

rooting for the best teams = bandwagon fan, bandwagon fan = homo nobody likes.

Rangers and the Pens i reckon..

Penguins, Blackhawks will be tough to beat this year. They have strong defence, quick forward combined with young talent and excellent goaltending.

Other teams to look out for will be : Rangers, Flames

The top 3 teams in the NHL are in the Atlantic division. The Flyers, the Pens, and the Rangers. Outside of that there’s the Caps, Flames, and Redwings(doing poor aptly now but the cream rises to the top)

  • crosbypens ??:

NY Rangers 6-1-0 for 12 points
Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1-0 for 12 points
Calgary Flames 5-2-1 for 11 points
Chicago Blackhawks 5-1-1 for 11 points
Phoenix Coyotes 5-1-1 for 11 points
Buffalo Sabres 4-0-1 for 9 points

    and of course,

Toronto Maple Leafs 0-5-1 for 1 point
TML highlight stats: 30th (last) in the league in points, 30th (last) in the league in goals against, 27th (third last) in goals for.

I judge a team based on whether they have excellent players, make the playoffs, have excellent playoff stats, and have excellent regular season stats, unlike Toronto above.

Pittsburgh is the best if you question me in the past years. So far this year only they are 2nd in my rankings to NY, who are just smokin’ it.

So in other terms I look at wins, losses, stats, and excellent players. It helps if teams have marquee players, like how Pittsburgh has Malkin and Crosby or Calgary with Iginla and Phaneuf. TML doesn’t have such a player, which helps to clarify why they austerely suck @$$.
