Is it physically possible for the US hockey team to beat Canada at some point and win one more gold?

Wе beat thе Canadians аnd took thе gold іn 1960, аnd beat thе Russians іn 1980 іn thе Miracle οn Ice іn Lake Placid, Nеw York. Wе аlѕο won thе 1996 World Cup οf Hockey. I rесkοn іt’s possible fοr υѕ tο gеt аt lеаѕt one more miracle аnd a gold medal. Even thе best hаνе tο lose аt ѕοmе point.

WTF is hockey, have you ever been to a football game?

The US beat Canada in the qualifying round then lost in overtime in the gold medal game this year–the US place up a hell of a fight and contended. So, yes, it’s very possible. The next Winter Olympics will have the young US team with a lot more experience. They could be a break down to be reckoned with.

  • Screech:

USA won the world juniors too. USA hockey is gaining money because they’re getting better and they use the money to get more young folks into hockey which produces better talent which means more wins which means more interest which means more money and so the cycle goes. Canada’s been at it longer but USA is catching up. Hockey is gaining popularity in USA and we’ve been a major break down in the international hockey scene for a while.

  • BureFTW:

lemme tell you something previous to the 90′s NHL hockey players were not allowed in the Olympics. It is possible because the Americans could of won in overtime too. But, I’d predict Sweden and Canada in the finals if the Olympics were RIGHT now. Plus, back then when Pros were not allowed Americans used Pros.

  • JSatt:

Of course it’s possible. The US just played in the gold medal game and lost in OT to Canada.

  • Quizzard:

There isn’t a lot between Canada and the US aptly now. It will not be a ‘miracle’ when they next win the Gold. The only real difference between the two countries is that Canada could ice TWO teams nearly as excellent as the one that just won

A bunch of untested amateurs beating a powerhouse Soviet team = Miracle
A bunch of professionals beating another bunch of professions = Upset
No offense but you come off like a typical ignorant American that doesn’t know their history.

Canada is a much better team, no matter what position. Whenever the US beats them, they get lucky. Take any line on the US and Canada has a better one. There is no reason why Canada should be losing to anyone except Russia and maybe Sweden.
