In the NHL, has there ever been a time when it was a six on six game?
I’m watching аn NHL playoff game aptly now, аnd I gοt tο wondering; hаѕ thеrе еνеr bееn a game whеrе both teams pulled thеіr goalies ѕο іt wаѕ a six οn six? Jυѕt curious. (A friend ѕаіd thеу′d hаνе tο bе very stupid tο dο ѕο)
I’m getting a lot οf laughs аt mе, bυt I dο realise thаt іt’d bе stupid tο dο, I’m јυѕt wondering іf іt еνеr HAS occured.
I doubt it, but in the very early days of the game of hockey, there was a team called the Ottawa Silver Seven because there were one goalie and six skaters to a side.
All the females are welcome to come to my place and watch hockey on my TV…..
haha no i doubt it, i mean that would be the stupidest business ever what would be the point of it?
and oh you idiot who said that girls shouldn’t be allowed to watch hockey, you can suck it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i dont reckon so because the team with the lead would have no reason for an exta skater
The only way I could see this happening is if Team A pulls their goalie for an superfluous attacker but commits a penalty while team B has the puck. Since the whistle will blow the second Team A touches the puck, Team B could also pull the goalie, giving you a 6-on-6.
This has never happened to my knowledge, but it’s the only way that it could happen that isn’t absolutely stupid.
Also, as another answer alluded to: early hockey was 7-on-7 with six skaters to a side. This disappeared previous to the founding of the NHL even if.
ACTUALLY! .. I haven’t heard of it happening but I;m sure it can. Imagine this: An away team trails by one so they pull the goalie and get six skaters. Then the away team commits a penalty and the home team pulls the goalie for the sixth man. Tada! We have a six-on-six! .. So it’s not that crazy of an occurrence although it’d have to be perfect timing.
…Who wants to touch me? … Ladies?
ONLY IF THEY BOTH HAVE THERE GOALIES PULLED
LMAO if both goalies are pulled?
i seriously don’t reckon that has ever happened
