How do you pick a hockey team?
I саn’t seem tο influence between thе Montreal Canadiens οr thе Toronto Maple leafs, bυt аlѕο find іt very hard tο cheer against еіthеr (ѕіnсе i wаѕ raised аnd hаνе friends іn both cities AND hаνе history wіth both teams).
I сhοѕе tο ѕtаrt subsequent hockey closely. hοw іѕ іt thаt people usually find thеіr teams?
Most people have a mother that likes a certain team and they are raised to like that team. That’s how it is for me. But some people do it on what’s the closest team or people follow one player and whatever team he is on they root for that team. It’s really all up to you.
look at the place they’re in (like first, second, third.. that kinda place lol), and who ever’s better – go with them. or, see which team has the better or more experienced players. and look at their history, who won more stanley cups. btw, i’d go with montreal
Most people just root for their hometown team, but I know plenty of people who just like watching the game; they don’t have one favorite team, they just delight in. You can take sort of a weird middle path between two of the game’s fiercest rivals if you want.
Usually a self will have a favorite team based on the city they live in or are nearest too. For me above and beyond that, I like different teams based on players I like.

I’m really not sure how i got into my team (coyotes) living absolutely on the other side of the states. My mom like boston and my grandpa likes detroit (so do i) so i guess that is right by how you are raised. Go coyotes eh!?

In my case, I was born and raised in Philly so naturally I grew up rooting for the Flyers (and still do, of course).
There really isn’t a “rule” on how to pick a favorite team. Most people I know are fans of their hometown teams or whatever team their favorite player is on. But I also know people who cheer for teams on the opposite side of the country.
Alright, Whatever You Do, DO NOT pick toronto as your favorite team!
