Become like the title character in the rock opera “Tommy”.

You need to work your way up the ranks. You register online, find a local rink, and start off there. Its a lot like vacant to school, but much more fun. All the NHL referees go to clinics, usually in the off season. Try to get into one, or any clinic if possible. Let them know you’re interested, and it should take off from there. Its just like being a hockey player, nobody just starts one day, and is well-known the next. Ref’s get paid heaps of money even if, so if you don’t have any luck with the NHL, reffing is always an option. Excellent luck, hope that helps.
