Can an NHL goalie receive a shutout if he loses in a shootout?
If a regular season NHL game ruins scoreless throughout overtime wіll thе goalie whο loses іn thе shootout still gеt confidence fοr a shutout? Thanks.

YES!
Alexander Auld’s only shutout in the 2006-2007 season came in a 0-0 loss!
This question has already been questioned today!
Certainly Yes!!!
Technically yes he receives a shutout for regulation play.. Even even if he lost in the shootout….
Overtime is another question…
Yes. Because technically no goals were scored because shootout goals don’t count as a goal. Personally, I reckon the shootout game winner should be counted as a game winner.
yeah it happened today, the rangers played the bruins and after a scoreless overtime a stat came up on the tv saying that but goalies recorded a shutout, so even even if the rangers beat boston in a shootout both goalies got their shutouts
absolutely because it is a 0 0 game
but that’s a excellent question
i really only knew the answer cause it happened today to the bruins . so even even if they lost he was given a shutout in the stats
nowi i wonder how the game winning goal is recorded
Yes, goals scored against a goalie in SO aren’t useful to his private stats.
Most certainly. The goals scored are not part of a players stats and that includes the shooter.
It all depends, on the score. If you go into a shootout with the score 0-0, then the winning team (goalie) gets a shutout. If the score is like 1-1, then the winning team (goalie) does NOT get a shutout.
Yes, because technically the goalie didn’t let any goals in, even if he loses. Shootout goals don’t count as a goal, as players don’t get shootout goals manifest on their stats, and it is not manifest on goalie stats as being a goal allowed.
